Researchers at UCLA AIDS Institute, state that "…the only hope for halting the epidemic is the creation of effective AIDS vaccines that can be distributed widely and serve the particular needs of different populations.  Early results from public and private vaccine development efforts are encouraging; however, the process is complex, expensive, and requires a new working paradigm to meet the challenge."  

MUSICaids...life thru music brings together music celebrities and medical experts to address health issues that effect people around the globe. In order to accomplish this task, MUSICaids collaborates with the music industry and its artists to promote MUSICaids Concerts, MUSICaids Clinics, MUSICaids CD's, MUSICaids e-zines, a MUSICaids Web Portal, and other services, in order to provide a continuous revenue stream to support the efforts research institutions.

The primary benefactors from the funds raised through the sale of  MUSICaids...life thru music products and services are major AIDS research institutions in both the United States and Europe. These include, but not exclusively, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Aids Institute, the Aaron Diamond Aids Research Center (ADARC), and the Emery Vaccine Center at Emery University for a start.

Text Box: MUSICaids... life thru music  Clinics are outgrowths of an idea used in the music industry in which music artists contribute their expertise in demonstrations or short performances of music to young participants.  MUSICaids... life thru music  Clinics are hosted at least two times a year, in each music category, with major artists. Media coverage goes along with these clinics, coupled with educational material and expert topic speakers.  Corporate sponsors have the opportunity to underwrite the cost of these clinics through various customized alternative marketing sponsorship packages. These clinics provide an opportunity to provide “edutainment” – to entertain while educating – audiences creating community and extending philanthropic opportunities.
